Exodus by diverse authors

Dear Mrs.Zrihen,

I just read the book Exodus in the bible which was written by a diversity of authors that were Jewish and Christians. I picked this book because not only did I want to do my reader's journal on it, but I wanted to learn more about my religion. It is also a universal, literature jewel. My mom recommended me when I told her about the summer project I had to do, she recommended because Moses was stutterer( he had problems speaking). It was a book of advenure when Moses was crossing the Red sea while being chased by Egyptians on horses coming to get him. The topic of the story was perseverance because even though Moses had many inconveniences, he coped with them until he got to his goal. The conflict in the story was that he had to liberate the Israelites from slavement and take them to Canaan( also known as the promised land) from Egypt. The point of view of the story is Third person because uses the words he, she, they, and it. The theme of the story is that perseverance helped Moises achieve his goal . The cliffhanger of the story, in my opinion, is when the 10 plagues attacked Egypt's palace and in the effect of it was that the israelites were freed. The best plague that I liked was when water turned into red liquid. Moises was afraid of the Pharaoh, but he received courage from his love to his village. Moses had a beard when he grew old, he got helped from his brother. The two strategies I used before reading this book were to predict what will happen by skimming and scanning for pictures, title, ETC and I predicted that since Exodus means Immigration than maybe it was Moses who is going to immigrate with people out of the country. Another strategy was to figure out why I was reading this book to know what I am reading and it was to learn about my religion. The tone of the story enthusiastic about writing every single detail to explain what had happened in that time. The mood of the story is that I felt that I am reading a story that can help me in present because teaches me responsability. Some strategies I use during reading this book was to visualize pictures like when Moses had to cross the red sea while outrunning the Egyptians and the ten plagues, another strategy is to reread when I didn't understand a certain scene in the story like when I didn't undestand why Moses needed his brother to help him speak, but I understood when I read that Moses couldn't speak clearly. An after reading strategy that I used was to remember what had happened in the story like when the Pharaoh disapproved  9 times during the ten plagues. The other strategy was to confirm my prdictions that I had made during or before reading this interesting story like predicting that Moses was going to immigrate out of Egypt with some people and I was correct.

Iwould rate his book from 1-10 a 10 because not only did it give me an important moral about perseverance , but pf its action and adventure.
                                                                   Sincerely,
                                                                         Juan Diaz
